Each capsule contains the extract of roots of  Zizyphus Jujube, a Small, deciduous tree or shrub, typically reaching 5-12 meters in height. Often has thorny branches. Leaves are Shiny green, ovate-acute, with three prominent veins at the base and a finely toothed margin. Flowers are small, yellowish-green, with five inconspicuous petals.

Fruits are edible oval drupe, initially green, maturing to brown or purplish-black.

Native to China and widely cultivated in Asia, the Middle East, and the Mediterranean with suitable climates; warm, arid, and semi-arid climates.
